Intentionally Bl□nk

I first saw this little gem on est living and I think they sum it up perfectly: ” ‘Opening up and brightening’ is without a doubt one of, if not the most highly prioritised goal on designer’s lists and with good reason – it injects energy, movement and life into any space.” Natural light floods this New York loft, creating a simple and calm atmosphere. Anyone who knows me knows that I love brick walls in any form and color, and this one with its white treatment is a perfect fit for the space‘s character. The bathrooms have a very clean look, with a hint of drama and glamour, through the used dark colors and metals.

The hallway is more than a passage to the home; the moment you open the front door a story begins, in this case the pop of color from the blue dresser and the contrasting black and white photographs above.  The white living area leaves me completely in awe, creating such a calm atmosphere, and is the perfect space to relax. The dining room has one of the most beautiful fire places I have ever seen, and it’s darker tint paired with the bedroom’s round out the character of the space.

A home should be a sort of sanctuary, an oasis, a haven in everyday life. I am definitely more of a ‘white-living’ person but this all beige painted apartment has such a warming atmosphere. The furniture and decoration are kept quite minimal and in the same color palette. This apartment reminds me of what a home should feel like: a space to recharge so that you can meet a new day with calm and fresh energy.
